All about the role This position is part of our Resource Consents & Monitoring Team, offering opportunities to grow your expertise and make an impact. This role is about more than just compliance and enforcement were looking for individuals who are proactive and positive in engaging with stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities will include: Monitoring compliance with resource consent conditions, including routine and random onsite inspections. Building relationships with local sub-contractors and builders, taking a proactive approach to improving silt and sediment control practices. Designing and delivering educational programs to engage with our development and building community.

Addressing land use complaints and taking appropriate action when necessary. Collecting evidence to support enforcement actions under the Resource Management Act. All about you: Are you passionate about promoting sustainable development in Porirua City by applying the provisions of the Resource Management Act? To succeed in this role, you should: Have a solid understanding of the Resource Management Act, along with relevant legislation and by-laws.

Ideally, have experience in monitoring and enforcement roles. Enjoy tackling customer complaints with a solutions-focused mindset. Be passionate about creating sustainable outcomes and building strong working relationships.

Hold a full, unrestricted New Zealand drivers license. Be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including conducting onsite investigations. What you need to do now This is an exciting opportunity to join an organization that is passionate about making a meaningful difference.
